FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Have questions about our faith-filled letters? You’re in the right place. Let us walk you through how it works, including our subscriptions and logistics.

The Disciple Letters are owned and produced by a local Church and Men's ministry in North Georgia.

Dedicated to the great commission, this ministry and impact is prayed over each week by a group of believers to stay in God's will and be protected from the enemy. Several 'elders' from our local county have been engaged to support across the Chrurch community as the disciple letter ministry grows. Our goal is to provide a new in-person devotional experience that spreads good news over a whole year.

Our mission is simple: to make disciples by sharing God’s Word in a way that connects both heart and history. As your faith grows, that same message of hope flows into places often forgotten—proving that no one is beyond the reach of the gospel.

We hope to encourage your spiritual journey and inspire you to share it with others.

The Disciple Letters are thoughtfully crafted devotional writings inspired by the lives, experiences, and teachings of Jesus’s twelve disciples. While they are not actual historical documents penned by the disciples themselves, each letter is carefully researched and written to reflect the unique personality, circumstances, and spiritual insights each disciple might have shared.

As creative historical fiction, the letters serve as powerful devotional tools designed to help you connect with Scripture and deepen your faith journey. Rooted in biblical theology and historical context, their primary purpose is to communicate timeless spiritual truths and practical encouragement in a relatable, modern format.

In essence, The Disciple Letters are inspired, imaginative reflections that invite you to engage with the disciples’ faith journeys in a fresh and meaningful way today.

Each disciple's correspondence reflects their distinct personality and life experiences as portrayed in Scripture. For example, Peter's letters might reflect his passionate, sometimes impulsive nature and his journey from denial to bold leadership, while John's might emphasize love and an intimate relationship with Christ. Thomas's letters could explore themes of doubt transforming into deep faith.

The Disciple Letters have been created by several talented writers who bring diverse perspectives and gifts to the project. Each product in the series reflects the collaboration of different authors who strive to capture the distinct voices and stories of Jesus’s disciples.

From a biblical standpoint, all letters and related materials have been carefully reviewed by Christian men, including scholars and pastors, some holding advanced degrees such as doctorates in theology. Their involvement helps ensure that the content remains faithful to Scripture and sound Christian doctrine. While we aim to create letters that resonate broadly across many Christian traditions, we recognize that it is impossible to satisfy every sect or religious viewpoint fully. We welcome thoughtful feedback from readers of all backgrounds to help us grow and improve. info@thediscipleletters.com

Before you write us a sermon, pray. Then remember we are trying to serve a jail ministry and encourage others to search The Word. The letters are intended as creative and historical fiction, grounded deeply in biblical scripture and the teachings of Jesus Christ. They are devotional tools designed to inspire faith and reflection rather than serve as official doctrinal documents.

Do you use AI to create your content?

At The Disciple Letters, we occasionally use AI tools to inspire visual concepts, story prompts, and creative ideas. It is 2025.

Every letter, image, or video generated with AI is thoroughly reviewed, refined, and interpreted by our team of writers, researchers, and faith leaders to ensure biblical accuracy, historical integrity, and alignment with the spirit of our mission.

AI is never a replacement for human discernment — it is simply a creative spark. The heart of our work remains grounded in Scripture, human experience, and prayerful interpretation.

The letter sequence is carefully curated to provide a balanced and meaningful spiritual journey throughout the year. Because of this intentional design, individual requests for specific letters or sequences cannot be accommodated at this time.

Each series presents a unique perspective and includes all the disciples, either as writers or recipients, ensuring a rich and comprehensive exploration of their stories and teachings.

Hope, faith, and Jesus! Each letter contains a personal message from one of the twelve disciples, relevant Scripture passages, thoughtful reflection, and often includes historical context about the disciple's life and ministry. Letters are printed on high-quality paper and designed to be kept as part of your spiritual library. Each letter will also have some supplementary material, but we are not giving it all away. :)

We assemble your first letter each Saturday after your order, and you can expect it to arrive the following week (depending on USPS reliability). After that, you’ll receive two letters per month, mailed in bi-monthly batches.

This consistent rhythm is intentional — it helps create a steady cadence for reflection, connection, and spiritual growth throughout the year.

Homeschooled Happiness

I use these letters for our youth small group and the kids connect with Peter's raw honesty and Thomas's doubts in ways they never connected with traditional Bible study

We write to strengthen you in the true grace of God (1 Peter 5:12), so that through the encouragement of Scripture you may have hope (Rom 15:4), and together we may build one another up in the faith (1 Thes 5:11).
